It's really a refreshing change to come across such an individual style.

I particularly like the second post down.

Thanks Ian, it makes a nice change to hear from someone I don’t know from the local pub :) though I love hearing from them too :)

I’m currently trying to get a reasonable collection of these ‘swirling’ landscapes together, before visiting a few galleries… hopefully they’ll find them interesting :)

I see you’re waiting to hear back from the RA about the summer exhibition, me too, not long to go now... :) Good luck :)

The score is 1 all between me and the Royal at present. So this is the deciding match. But I don't think I'm what they're looking for.

Hence the current incentive to write "Artists Statements", etc. I think I need to look a LOT more closely at how I present my stuff.

Cheers f'now.

1-0 to the RA here atm… but hopefully this year things will even out…though I’m not sure if my large figurative, realistic(ish) oil painting is quite what they’re after either…I guess we’ll find out this week :)

I know what you mean about presenting things, that’s something I’m going to need to look at too…the ‘selling’ of work seems to be even more important than the work itself sometimes…which doesn’t seem right, but there you go…

…but first I need to get the paintings done, so enough typing and back to work for me :)
