Eynsham Square part 1

Starting on another swirling painting of the square for the art group summer exhibition in the village. Got the drawing done the other day, so I thought I’d post it at this halfway stage…depending on the weather I may get the painting done tomorrow…watch this space ;)

There is a part of me that wants to look through the Bartholomew rooms here. It has become an obstacle for the 'paths'.

Funnily enough I was looking at the primary school tonight when I went to pick Jack up from Judo…I was looking to see where I might be able to get a good angle for a painting…I found one, but there’s a brick wall right in the middle which blocks the view…I’ll go and take some photos on the next sunny evening we have and then do the painting, without the brick wall…I ‘think’ it’ll work really well…The Bartholomew Rooms stay though ;) lol

I agree it should stay but there is a case for being able to see through it to the other side. I think these paintings have a strong element of time passing so why not push the single point perspective further?

I know what you’re saying…I shall have to do some experimenting…:)
