Just like a bus, nothing for ages and then 3 come along...

Also meant to post this the other day, have been playing around with the colours for this lino/painting. This is where I'm at so far. Needs a little more thought and the outlines will obviously be much stronger when printed, but you get the general idea of where it's going...

This is looking very good. Can I make some suggestions on the colours? I think there are too many brownish tones in there and maybe it needs some more contrast..... For instance do you think the girls hair would work better in black?

....actually I think all the sludgey brown bits would look better black.....but then I'm a black kinda gal ;-)

Black is the new black?

I thought brown was the new black…just goes to show I know nothing about fashion…no comments required there, thanks :)

You’re right about the subdued overall tone Sue, I want it to have a Klimt ish feel colour wise and he seems to hold his palette in this way…sometimes...

I THINK when it’s actually printed the final layer of black outline will jump forward and knock the colours back further still…If I made the Brown bits black, they’d be too overpowering…but I could be wrong….we’ll see when I start printing :)
