Exhibition all setup :-)

Everything framed & hung, shelves polished and floors swept, the Autumn exhibition begins tomorrow :-)...I've some commissioned work to start on next week and I want to begin working on the handmade frames also...once that's underway, work can begin on pieces for the winter exhibition...;-)

Some Cuckoo's Nest blurb :-) ... Our Autumn exhibition opens tomorrow and runs through to the end of October. We've a new collection of forest themed paintings by Graham along with a selection of prints including some Andy Warhol art prints and beautiful Tintin cover posters. We're open every Thursday 12 to 8, Friday & Saturday 10 to 6.

Darkening up the colours

I've had a very busy week framing, so only got onto painting this afternoon. Luckily it was a productive afternoon :-) I've started darkening up 4 of the pieces, I'll try and work on the other 3 early in the mornings next week and hopefully all will then be ready for the first coat of resin before next weekend. It's going to be a very busy couple of weeks in the run up to the exhibition.... :-)

Photo Frames

During June and July we’re giving 10% discount on all photos customers bring in for framing. So if you’ve got some mementos of the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations or some sporting snaps to rival our Olympic athletes, bring them in and we’ll give you 10% off any style of frame you require. Don’t leave those photos on your computer, get them printed out, beautifully framed and hung on your wall where they belong!

Welcome to 2012

Things were a little quiet in here towards the end of last year so I thought it was high time for a new post.

The Exhibition went well, many thanks to all that came along :) Some good sales, so I was able to eat this Christmas. The framing side of things is coming together, some new equipment to order later this month and then I’ll start advertising in the spring.

I've been working on a number of commissions which I’m unable to post on here for contractual reasons, I can’t really talk about them much either, but they’re proving to be very educational and lots of fun from my point of view. The current batch of those should be finished later this month, so you’ll see some proper posts and new work after that :)

That’s it, other than to wish you all a very Happy New Year :) G x
