Waiting for the Right One - I - Finished

Another long day today, but that’s meant I’ve finished ‘Waiting for the Right One – I’.
I’m really pleased with this one, the best picture I’ve painted for a few years I think…I wanted something that was beautiful as an image, while having a very personal meaning to me & a flexible meaning to viewers in general…I think I’ve got much closer to that aim than I have for a while…hope you like it & find something within it that speaks to you…

Late night opening for Artweeks, so 11 hours in the studio today…knackered now, but I got a lot done :) I’ve finished the second tone on ‘Waiting for the Right One I’ & painted her face, so just the hands & Gold to go…

Artweeks is well underway now & we've had some lovely visitors in over the weekend, in between borring them with my chatter on pigments I've managed to get a little work done on this new painting. It's called 'Waiting for the right one - I' & the model is Katie.
