Then a bit of detail...

Added a bit of detail tonight, most of it's in I just need to take the masking fluid off and then put the final glazes and marks in the white areas...I probably would have finished it tonight...but Jack seems to have "borrowed" my putty rubber, so I couldn't remove the masking fluid cleanly...never, mind, should get it all finished in the next session :)

I really like the flow of the water in this - but I know what you mean about the tower. How to be accurate and individual?

I like the fact the water and sky are 'loose' and the 'accuracy' and extra detail in the tower create a tension. More compelling. But of course thats just my view. Eye of the beholder and all that.

I’m not sure exactly how I’ll get the accuracy/individuality balance sorted out…I tried using some ink and chalk over the watercolours I didn’t at new year, but that didn’t really work the way I wanted…I think I might try using stronger colours and some pen work over the top…a bit like John Piper and Nina Carroll…
